Greetings fcpc family and anyone else reading. In light of the administrations instructions regarding CV- 19, we will not be meeting corporately the next two Sundays, March 22nd and March 29th.

We will have more information at that point and will follow the administrations guidelines regarding reconvening.

"Pray Like Jesus"

THIS upcoming Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday. I realize you may be reading this after the big day, but I’m excited to tell you about something just as big, in fact BIGGER than even the Super Bowl!

One of the bedrocks of our Christian faith, one of the things that keeps us closest to the Lord and helps us grow into the likeness of Christ more than anything else is prayer. I’m guessing we all know that, but at the same time prayer is also something we likely struggle with and feel guilty about. We know it’s incredibly important and yet… read more

We know it’s incredibly important and yet for some reason, perhaps many reasons, we have a hard time getting to it and sticking with it.

Starting Feb. 2nd I’m preaching a series called “Pray Like Jesus” where I will be not only talking about the importance of prayer but teaching us how to pray like Jesus. After all He is the One who gave us the model for prayer that we know as “The Lord’s Prayer.” I’m convinced that if you will engage with this sermon series not only will your prayer life be revolutionized, but your life in general. It’s that powerful, not because I’m teaching it but because of Jesus’ words and how we can apply them when it comes to praying.

"Timeless"

"Timeless" is a brand-new sermon series I'll be preaching beginning January 12th. In the new year we tend to think of new beginnings, to set goals, make resolutions, or at least reflect on the past year or the past few years.

As Christians, we want and need to have an eternal perspective, but sometimes that gets lost in the midst of all the busyness and stressfulness of life.

How can we get and keep an eternal perspective? And how does realizing everything we have belongs to God effect our day to day lives? How can we live well, knowing this isn't all… read more

How can we get and keep an eternal perspective? And how does realizing everything we have belongs to God effect our day to day lives? How can we live well, knowing this isn't all there is? Those are the questions we will be answering from God's word.

You won't want to miss this series, and why not invite a friend, family member, or neighbor?

Hope to see you Sunday, January 12th, 10:30 am for the kick-off of this series!

Hope Has a Name!

Super excited about our new 3-week Christmas series, "Hope Has a Name."

"Hope Before Time" the first message will focus on the Son of God BEFORE time, BEFORE the creation of the world. What was He doing? How do we know what He was doing? And why does it matter today?

The second message, "Hope Came for a Visit" deals with what we call the incarnation of Christ. John 1:14 says it best: "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full… read more

And finally on Christmas Eve we will look at "Hope, now and forever". How does placing my faith in Jesus change things now, and after now? Our Christmas Eve Service is at 4:30pm

Please join us- you'll be glad you did. And don't forget to bring some folks with you!

But "how" do I seek God?

by: Joel Rosenauer

Have you ever found yourself saying, "I know I'm supposed to seek God, but I'm not quite sure how." One of the things I've noticed and/or experienced over my years in vocational ministry is that pastors, elders, teachers, leaders, etc. are pretty good at reminding Christians of what they're supposed to do. But not so good at teaching them how to do it!

I think (I hope anyway!) that Christians realize that reading their bible, praying, being a part of a church, serving- are all things they need to do in order to grow into mature disciples, but they don't always… read more

I think (I hope anyway!) that Christians realize that reading their bible, praying, being a part of a church, serving- are all things they need to do in order to grow into mature disciples, but they don't always have a plan or strategy for how to best do these things. Therefore, time can be wasted, it can get frustrating, and even confusing.

Well, that is EXACTLY why we're offering "Seeking God" as one of our "next steps" opportunities at FCPC. "Seeking God" is our way of teaching people HOW to read their bibles, HOW to pray, HOW to be involved in a church, HOW to serve, etc. We're offering it for the very first time Sunday, Oct. 20th right after the service. Lunch will be provided. I think it's going to be super helpful for all those who come.

And even is you're a "seasoned saint" and already know everything, you should come to, so that you can help other people who don't quite know it all yet!

Hope to see you there!

“Family, God’s Way”

SUPER EXCITED about our up-coming sermon series, “Family, God’s Way”. These new messages will debut Sunday, Sept. 8th at our 10:30am worship service. God created three institutions, the family, the government, and the church.

Families have a hard time of it these days, especially when the very idea of a family is often undermined by a culture that’s not only confused as to how a family should function, but is even confused about what a family is.

I strongly encourage you to come and hear God’s thoughts on the family. After all, He created them! Hope to see you Sunday, Sept. 8th,… read more

We are so excited to present our newly designed website. As you can see, it has a fresh new look and easy navigation to help you get the information you need quickly and efficiently. Many thanks to the ChurchSpring team for helping us launch such a beautiful new church website. To God be the glory!

First Christian Praise Chapel's is all about "Building Christ's church, one person at at time." Our website and social media presence is an important piece of that goal as a church's "front door" tends to be digital these days!

"What's Your Worldview?"

The feedback has been very encouraging for our worldview series so far. All I've been doing is going through Colossians 2, but as usually the word of God is POWERFUL! In fact, it's living and active, which is why when it is preached people are changed.

Just one more week in this series (you WON'T want to miss it!) and then we'll be moving on to ch. 3 where Paul again gives us a glorious picture of the Lord in the first few verses, reminding us of what we have in Christ. And then the rest of the book gets super… read more

And then the rest of the book gets super practical in terms of "How now should we live?" in the light of what we've been taught?

THIS SUNDAY, we'll look at "Christ vs. personal spiritual experiences." Our culture has gone a bit nuts lately with pursuing everything spiritual, but without the Spirit! You won't want to miss this week and you should bring someone with you too!
